Close To My Heart Deck the Palms – Australasian Blog Hop

A Happy Hello and welcome aboard our Deck the Palms Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop.

The Deck The Palms paper collection is a fun tropical paper that can be used for either Christmas or a fun tropical getaway. There is actually only a couple of the papers that have a Christmas design, the rest can be used in so many other ways.

What I loved about these papers is how well they work with the Animal Party stamp set. So for my first card I use the leaf pattern paper & a strip of the UV-coated leaf cardstock & the leaf stamps from the the Deck The Palms to create this Celebrate card.

I sponges some green in the background & splattered water. The Leaves were stamped on green & white embossed & added a stitched border on the bottom with the Embroidered Borders stamp set.

I decided that I try & make a summery Merry Christmas card but not use the Flamingo.

For this one the background is created with Distress Oxide Inks & splashes of water. The palm trees are cut out from the Cricut Sweet Safari Collection. I stamped some of the baubles on the papers & fussy cut them out & some are from the sticker sheet. And I finished off with a Merry Christmas from the For All Occasions stamps set.
